As a social psychologist, Gabrielle Filip-Crawford's work explores the ways in which wenavigate our social world. How do we decide who to sit next to on the bus, trust to watch ourchildren, or allow to borrow money? The ways in which we distinguish friend from foe oropportunity from threat shape how we perceive and act toward others. Gabrielle is especiallyinterested in how these processes play out in various groups, including lesbians and gay men andpeople with mental illness.
