Community-Engaged Learning

Course-Based Community Engagement

In community-engaged learning courses, students and faculty partner with community organizations to engage in mutually beneficial, collaborative work that enhances students’ classroom learning. This type of learning is also called service-learning.

Community Work and Learning works with faculty to determine the optimal community-engaged learning models and community partnerships for their courses. Our students and faculty engage with over 100 nonprofit organizations throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
