As an Information Systems minor, you will couple a background in any field of math and science with practical, hands-on skills with information technologies. In this minor you will have increased employability for a wider variety of careers in the technology field.
The Information Systems minor is open to all majors, but is intended specifically for those who have a relatively strong science or math background to help gain experience with computer and information technology applications. It is designed to provide hands-on skills with information technologies in order to complement many majors of theoretical focus and enhance utilizing computational knowledge in technology.
To complete the minor in Information Systems, you must complete five courses in Information Science and Informatics (ISCI). Students may take up to two courses in computer science (CSCI).
If you decide to minor in Information Systems, you cannot concurrently earn a Digital Humanities minor.
