Digital Humanities

Gain experience with computers and information technology. Digital Humanities is a newly emerging area of study with a growing application of digital media and technology in the traditional humanities studies and arts. The Digital Humanities minor will increase your employability in technology-related fields along with your own major of study, preparing you for a wider variety of career opportunities. Open to all students, the minor is a great elective for developing basic technology skills and enhancing your digital literacy.

what can I do with a minor in Digital Humanities?

The Digital Humanities minor is open to students in any major, as it is crafted for those in the liberal arts to help leverage their major area of study with hands-on technology skills. You will be prepared for a wider variety of career opportunities to work as a social media coordinator, web designer, user experience analyst, or work for museums, libraries, information agencies, media production, and more.

what will I study?

To complete the minor in Digital Humanities, you must complete five courses in Information Science and Informatics, including selected Digital Humanities electives from other related humanities and arts.

If you decide to minor in Information Systems, you cannot concurrently earn a Digital Humanities minor.
