Immerse Yourself in the World of Art

At St. Kate's, the art history major is unique in its requirement of studio art courses — so you experience how art is created.

Studio art faculty frequently share their expertise with art history majors in the studio, and art history faculty lead museum and gallery tours to the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Walker Art Center with studio art majors.

In addition to traditional art studios on our St. Paul, Minnesota campus, St. Kate’s has a photography and state-of-the-art computer lab, and the Visual Resources Library has more than 30,000 images and access to ArtStor, a global, digital image bank.
