 for six years. By the age of six, my family and I came to the United States due to the Vietnam War. We came in search of freedom, education and wealth. Coming to the U.S. was the biggest and greatest hope of my father because he wants his children to be educated and well off with jobs and money. I first settled down in Sacramento, California with my family for five years and then moved to Madison, Wisconsin due to job opportunity. By the time I graduated from middle school, my family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. I came to Minnesota as a freshmen in high school and attended North Community High School in Minneapolis. By the fourth quarter of my freshmen year, I met my husband, Kia, and we became friend. When I met him, he was a junior. After knowing each other for a couple of months, we started dating and went out for almost five years before settling down with each other. Back in high school, I played badminton and soccer for three years. By senior year, I was in rank 2 of my classmates and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. After graduating from North High, I applied to St.Kate's and got accepted. I attended St.Kate's and plan to major in nursing. I anticipate to graduate in May of 2009. |
