Intelligence is mainly a source of entertainment. I feel these intelligence features add value because they make a website more fun for the viewer. They are interactive and hold interest.
On a more professional site, they could engage and motivate a customer to request a company's services. A company could use intelligence to enliven the presentation of their goods and lure consumers.
Intelligence features encourage someone to stay interested in you. Without them, a webpage could be very boring.
