Why Intelligence?

This webpage project is one that I will definitely make use of for my future classroom.
I would include the elements that I have put into this website so far, but I would also add
more links to homework guides and quizzes for students and parents to study with as
test dates approach. I would also include links to permission slips, newsletters and a variety of
information that parents may need to check throughout the week. Many parents complain that
their student doesn't bring home the piles of paperwork and sometimes things just get
misplaced. It would be a nice resource to have these things available for parents and students
and would help to keep parents connected to the classroom.

Home Page - Roll Over with Panther Logo	The roll over effect adds interest to the page and gives an interactive element to a link to the school's website.
Home Page - Banner	Adds interest and an eye-catching area to announce important information.
All Pages - Roll Over Change Colors on Links	Adds interest to the page and indicates which link you are clicking on.
All Pages - Today's Date	Allows user to always know the current date, helpful since much of the website's information is date sensitive.
Weekly Assignment Log - Spelling Test Pop Up	Interactive element and reminds user of the test date. The link to the spelling word list is helpful to both students and parents, serves as a resource for information in the event that a student forgets their assignments.
Weekly Assignment Log - Radio Button Civil War Quiz	Interactive element that helps students review and shows parents what they can help their student study.
Email Erica - Fill in the blank form to contact teacher.	An easy way to contact the teacher without having email open Allows parents to communicate with teacher from a computer anywhere.
Student Gallery - Random Pictures	Gives user something different to look at everytime they open or refresh the page. Gives the illusion that the page is updated often even if it hasn't been in a few days. A good place to display pictures of students in the classroom or student artwork. It would be nice to have both present on the page.
