Praxis Test Information

Who Takes Which Test

Licensed Students

All students with teaching licenses must take the Praxis II Library Media Content Test. Some students may be required to take additional testing requirements. Student should also check the MN Department of Education website for further information.

Unlicensed Students

Students without a teaching license must take:

• Praxis I (reading, writing and mathematics);
• Praxis II Principles of Learning and Teaching (choose whichever level you wish, K-6 or 7-12 are the recommended tests); and
• Praxis II Library Media Content test

Registering for the Test

When registering for either the PRAXIS I or PRAXIS II Series, be sure to specify the College of St. Catherine Institutional Code RA6105 as the Attending Institution/Recipient Test Code List.
