Student Governance Organization (SGO)

All students in the Masters of Library and Information Science program are members of the MLIS Student Governance Organization. SGO consists of MLIS Student Governance Steering Committee, Nominations and Election Committee, Finance Committee, Department Meeting Committe, Curriculum Sub-Committee, and Advisory Council Committee. www.stkate.edu/mlis/people/sgo.php

Progressive Librarian Guild

Library and Information Science Student Association

LISSA (the Library and Information Science Student Association). LISSA provides an opportunity for students to have an active voice in governance and administration of GSLIS. Based from Dominican University. LISSA

Graduate Student Advisory Board (GSAB)

The GSAB provides services such as funding opportunities available for current College of St. Catherine graduate students for:

• leadership development,
• academic enrichment related to thier educational experience at the College
• to support groups as well as individual endeavors that will better graduate students and/or the CSC community.

These opportunities exist through the activtity fee. A funding request form must be completed by the student seeking funds and mailed to GSAB at mailbox #4261. The funding form including information regarding specific funding information can be accessed here.
