Biography

Currently serve as Executive Director of MELSA (Metropolitan Library Service Agency), the regional public library system for the Twin Cities metro area.  Previous employment includes Executive Director of CLIC (Cooperating Libraries In Consortium) from 1995 -2006; and as the Public Information Officer for the Lake Agassiz Regional Library (1984 – 1995).

I have been Involved in both the state and national professional organizations.  I have served with the Minnesota Library Association in a number of positions including President, Legislative Committee Chair, ALA Chapter Councilor for Minnesota, Intellectual Freedom Committee Chair and Public Relations Committee Chair.  Currently I am serving on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Association of Library Friends and the Minitex Advisory Council.

In 2008, MELSA received the John Cotton Dana Award (Public Relations) from the American Library Association for its MuseumAdventurePassprogram
