Biography

Wayne Loftus is a Science Librarian in the Bio-Medical Library of the University of Minnesota, and liaison to the Office of Clinical Research and the Cancer Center. He comes to the U from the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research, an independent, non-profit research institute conducting basic research in the biosciences. Previously, he worked at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio as a Reference and Microcomputer Services Librarian, and the University at Buffalo Health Sciences Library as a Reference Assistant. Wayne has a particular interest in the application of technology in library services, and has broad experience in working with clinicians, educators, and researchers in a variety of environments. Wayne received his MLS from the University at Buffalo and is a member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals.
