Biography

I began my teaching career with the West St. Paul school district in 1974 as a junior high English teacher. I've also taught junior high reading and high school reading and study skills. After I returned from a maternity leave, I was an elementary media specialist for ten years, a middle school media specialist for six years, and have now been a high school media specialist and district media coordinator for the past five years. I started teaching at St. Kate's in 2000. I can't think of a better job than being a librarian, but I also love teaching, and I love children's and young adult literature. So, what could be better than teaching future librarians about children's and young adult literature? Life is good!
