Job/Internship Postings

For employers or orgarnizations hoping to post jobs or internships, below outlines the procedure. We only post positions that relate to Library and Information Science.

The best way to proceed is to write up a formal announcement of the job/internship proposal (a Word document is fine) and send it to our MLIS office. We will post the description on our job/intern board as well as on the MLIS job/intern database.

Use this email address: imdept@stkate.edu

For the announcement, it helps to provide the following information:
1. Title of the Job/Project
2. Company name
3. Description of the Job/Project including:

4. Qualifications of applicant to complete work
5. Salary: whether or not this is a paid or volunteer position
6. Number of hours for the Job/Project
7. Days/times work can be completed (day, evening, weekends)
8. Application requirements including an application deadline
9. Contact information for applying or obtaining more information

It is especially good to say whether work can be completed during non-business hours because so many of our students work full or part-time.

Thank you!
