FALL SEMESTER
ACADEMIC AND ADVISING CONNECTIONS
Explore opportunities for research and special projects through the Centers of Excellence and the Student Center and Activities collaboration.
Complete an assistantship with Centers of Excellence or consider a second internship.
Complete and submit the Declaration of Intent to Graduate form by November 30 if you are graduating in May. Go to KateWay, "My Education" tab.
Prepare for graduation by reviewing the Degree Audit from the Registrar's Office.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Attend the annual Career Opportunities Fair in October.
Use your Career Development Senior Planner to help you successfully plan this year.
Attend the Twin Cities Graduate School Fair. Make sure you are aware of deadlines and application procedures if you plan to attend graduate or professional school. Contact the Career Development Office.
Establish important networks with organizations you are interested in using the Alum Database in Career Development.
Register for the free workshop series, "Building a Professional EPortfolio." Watch Daily Update on KateWay for details and deadlines.
Attend the Government Job Fair.
SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
Participate in a senior retreat or meet with a spiritual mentor through Campus Ministry. Participate in ministry at Sunday morning Mass or Sunday evening ecumenical service. Continue developing your volunteering commitments.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Mentor others for leadership roles within the organization(s) to which you belong.
WINTER SEMESTER
ACADEMIC AND ADVISING CONNECTIONS
Clarify with Financial Aid the process for repaying your student loans.
Meet with your advisor to confirm your final class schedule and completion of all your degree requirements.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Refine your professional résumé. Meet with a career counselor to learn effective interviewing skills and how to articulate the values and skills of your liberal arts/professional education.
Attend the events and workshops in the "From Backpack to Briefcase" program. This program is designed to help seniors successfully make the transition from the academic environment to the professional work environment.
Participate in the Minnesota Private College Job and Internship Fair, the Minnesota Education Job Fair and the Idealist Non-Profit Career Fair to practice your interviewing and networking skills or to secure employment in your field.
Put finishing touches on your portfolio, highlighting your accomplishments in your major and in your co-curricular experiences. Enroll in the free workshop series on "Building a Professional E-Portfolio."

Join professional organizations in your field.
COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
As you prepare for graduation, celebrate all your connections to the College, including mentoring relationships with faculty and staff, and lifelong friendships with your classmates.
Learn about the Alumnae Association and learn how to become an active and supportive graduate of the College.
