A DAY OF FIRSTS. The first Opening Celebration for St. Catherine University was held on September 9, 2009. Students, faculty and staff marked the historic day — and celebrated the start of a new academic year — with Mass in Our Lady of Victory Chapel (lower right), an academic procession (left and upper right) to The O’Shaughnessy for Opening Convocation and a picnic on the south lawn of Coeur de Catherine. The College of St. Catherine became St. Catherine University on June 1, 2009.
