HAVE CAMERA, WILL TRAVEL. Every year, Katies who have recently studied outside the United States are
invited to submit up to two photos for the Office of Global Studies' photography contest. The contest offers modest cash
prizes for winners and is popular with students, who relish the chance to display their best shots.
This year's winning entries included (clockwise from left): "it's Music Time!" by Emily Holte '09 (Ecuador); " A
Misty Rainforest in the Morning" by Elizabeth Kringen '09 (Australia); and "Traffic Jam" by Sara
Pattison '10 (Bangladesh). "The contest is amazing because it gives students a chance to share their travel experiences
with the University community," says Raine de Campeau, Global Studies assistant director. "It's a great opportunity
to showcase an image of their experiences abroad."
