This
large tree grows 40 to 70 feet tall (7). There are 5 to 9 leaflets
that are dark green and are paler or white below. The base of the leaf surrounds the
bud. White ash is a dioecious tree (6). The fruits are samaras
and are produced in the late summer. The seeds are dispersed from August to
November. It is distributed from Nova Scotia to eastern Minnesota and south
to Texas and northern Florida. |
