known as Canadian maple, this medium sized tree grows 30 to 50 feet tall (7). The
light green leaves are opposite and pinnately compound. There are 3 to 5 leaflets with irregularly toothed margins that are
often 3-lobed. The fruit is a samara that is produced in the fall. The Box elder is found throughout Canada
and the United States. |
