It
is a medium sized tree with a maximum height of 70 feet (7). The
crown is irregularly shaped and there are many low hanging branches. The
leaves are pinnately lobed with 5 -7
lobes. It is monoecious with seed
production that begins when the tree is 20 years old (6).
The Northern Pin oak flowers from March to May. It is found throughout the middle and western parts of the
Great Lakes region (2). |
