Student in residence hall roomHousing Information

Living in a residence hall on a college campus offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience. On-campus living will give you the chance to live independently and to discover the rich variety of personalities, lifestyles and resources that an educational environment has to offer.

In addition to being more likely to achieve a higher grade point average, residence hall students tend to develop more successful study habits and are more likely to finish school than those who live off campus.

Hall residents also interact more with other students and faculty and staff members, giving them additional opportunities to find mentors and develop new friendships. These academic benefits, combined with the many recreational and cultural activities available to you as a residence hall student, can significantly add to your college success.

The Minneapolis campus of the College of St. Catherine is located in the Cedar-Riverside area, at the heart of a diverse educational and medical community near nationally known health-care centers such as the Fairview-University Medical Center and Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Living on campus, you will be where the action is, yet you will avoid the hassles and expenses of commuting. The area is a convenient public transportation hub, where it’s easy to catch a bus to the Guthrie Theater for a play or to the Target Center for a Timberwolves game. The Minneapolis campus provides affordable housing for both men and women. The residence hall offers security entries, stained glass windows, a Mississippi River view, computer labs, TV lounges and kitchens.
