How do I find out what items are on course reserve?
You can search for reserve items through CLICnet, the library's online
catalog. The reserves section is located in the lover left-hand corner
of CLICnet's main search page. You may search reserves by professor name
or by course name to find all books, articles, videos, and e-reserves
items placed on course reserves. Connect

How do I check out a course reserve item?
Once you know what item you need, either from CLICnet or your instructor,
you can check out the item by going to the library circulation desk and
asking for it. Let the worker at the circulation desk know the name of
the item you want, and the name and/or number of the course for which
the item is on reserve. It's also helpful if you can give the name of
your instructor as well.
What is Electronic Reserves (e-reserves)?
Electronic Reserves gives you online access to many course reserves materials
through CLICnet, primarily journal articles and book chapters. These items
can be downloaded and read or printed. You may need to download and install
the Adobe Acrobat Reader to access e-reserves materials. Public access
computers on the College of St. Catherine St. Paul campus already have
the Acrobat Reader installed.
How do I access an electronic reserve
(e-reserve) item?
Once you have searched CLICnet and located an e-reserves item, you will
need to type in your name (first name and last name) and library barcode
number to view the document. For complete instructions on accessing e-reserves,
see the Electronic Reserves page.
Please be aware that articles download much slower from
off-campus locations than from on-campus locations.
For Faculty
How do I have an item (or items) placed on
reserve or electronic reserve (e-reserve)?
You will need to submit a reserves request
form, as well as the item(s) you wish to place on reserve, to the
library at least 7 days before student need. For more information on placing
items on reserve, see the Services
for Faculty page.
What is Electronic Reserves?
Electronic Reserves gives students online access to course-related materials
through CLICnet. Once they have searched CLICnet and located an e-reserves
item, students type in their name (first name and last name) and their
library barcode to read or print the document. This insures that copyrighted
material will be available only to College of St. Catherine students,
faculty and staff.
