Highly recommended resource! Explores leadership theories, practices, history and effects. Covers the topic of leadership from many various aspects and points of view.

 
AMA management handbook. 3rd ed. Reference: HD 31 .A418 (1994)
Short (3-6 page) articles by experts in various areas of management, from pension planning to purchasing techniques. Human resources issues such as communication, compensation, training and development, personnel selection, corporate restructuring g, employee health promotion, and performance appraisal are included. General management topics are also covered, including mission statements, corporate culture, managing ethics, etc.
 
Social psychology: handbook of basic principles. Reference: HM 251 .S6743 (1996) Review articles on research and theories in social psychology provide good overviews of topics such as decision making, the process and consequences of explanations, expectancies, goal effects, self-regulation, interpersonal communication, group conflict, and personal conflict.
 
Encyclopedia of ethics. 2 vols. Reference: BJ 63 .E45 (1992)
Excellent subject encyclopedia covers most contemporary ethical issues. Among the subject entrees are business ethics, altruism, bribery, corruption, dignity, euthanasia, excuses, final good, homosexuality, integrity, loyalty, negligence, power, suicide, etc.

Advancing Women. A comprehensive site focusing on many aspects of women in leadership. Includes free access to the online journal AWL: Advancing Women Journal. Worth checking out!

Greenleaf Center for Servant-Leadership. "Servant-Leadership is a practical philosophy which supports people who choose to serve first, and then lead as a way of expanding service to individuals and institutions." The site provides resources and information on this model of leadership.

The Leadership Challenge. Background on the research methodology of the book by Barry Z. Posner and James M. Kouzes.

Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, N.C. International, nonprofit educational institution that focuses on developing models of managerial practice.

Business Ethics Resources on the Web: Site from the University of British Colombia's Center for Applied Ethics.

 
Center for Business Ethics, Cameron School of Business, University of St. Thomas in Huston, TX. Many resources, including The Online Journal of Ethics, a full-text, electronic publication.

Center for Ethical Business Cultures, formerly known as the Minnesota Center for Corporate Responsibility, is an international organization of business leaders. This group chaired the Caux Round Table, which drafted The Minnesota Principles, and ethical statement promoting global standards for human dignity and working together.

Corporate Watch : An online magazine and resources center that investigates and analyzes corporate activity.

Council for Ethics in Economics : Online publications, Council news, programs.

Ethical Business: the Search for Research: ELDIS, the Electronic Development and Environment Information System. A gateway to research on development issues. Page contains useful search and retrieval tools. Check out the "Subject Guides" -- pathfinders for researching about 80 topics. From the guides page, look for "Country Profiles" -- details from worldwide regions. In-depth, full-text publications provided.

Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University: Full-text articles and papers, as collected in Issues in Ethics. Topics include ethical decision-making, business ethics, health care ethics, biotech and technology ethics.
