  Teaching Station Desk

Found in Coeur de Catherine rooms 018, 019, 020, 110, 128, and 355

The equipment rack contains a VCR/DVD player and audio Amplifier.  

To play a video or DVD , turn on the audio amplifier.

Average volume adjustments are marked with arrow.

  Insert tape or DVD disk.

Turn on ceiling mounted LCD projector with the remote.

Remote on left controls VCR/DVD. Remote on right controls the LCD projector

Some VHS tapes recorded in stereo HI Fi have a scratching sound when played on our Panasonic combo units. If you experience this, adjust the tracking or using the audio menu on the remote, select "normal".

You may use the computer in the room, it is connected to the network, or you can bring your laptop. To project the image on your laptop, connect it with the VGA cable on the desk. You can run the sound from your laptop buy plugging the mini phono plug into your laptops headphone jack.  

Adjust the sound on the amplifier at the bottom of the cabinet.

Turn on the projector and use the "FN" button on your computer with the function button associated to external monitor to send the signal to the projector. F5 and F7 are the most common buttons.

Teacher station podiums are found in Coeur de Catherine rooms 360,361,362, and 370.

The installed equipment is identical to the desk types except there is no permanent computer. You will need your laptop or borrow ours. There is a network jack next to the podium.

The last type of station you will find is located in Coeur de Catherine room 213. This has the identical equipment as the podiums.
