Biography of the Artist and Writer

NEDA MIRANDA BLAZEVIC - KRIETZMAN

Neda Miranda Blazevic-Krietzman is a writer, artist, photographer, and assistant professor of English and Core Curriculum at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul MN. Born in Gracac, Croatia, she resided between 1982 and 1992 in Berlin and Munich, Germany, New York, Boston and Iowa City as a writer, artist and professor. Since 1992, she permanently lives in Minneapolis, MN.

Blazevic-Krietzman is a Fulbright Scholar and a recipient of DAAD (The German Academy of Art and Science) fellowship. In the past twenty years she has exhibited her paintings, sculptures, installations and photographs in museums and galleries in Germany, Croatia and the U.S. She has published two novels, two collections of short stories, two plays, two radio-dramas, one screenplay, seven collections of poetry, and a collaborative book of essays and photographs, A Woman is a Woman, is a Women, Houghton Mifflin, Inc., 2003.
