ILL methods accepted by MNE
We prefer to receive requests via OCLC, but we also accept ALA forms,
sent by fax or email.
Billing method
We participate in OCLC's IFM billing, but we will send an invoice with
the shipped item if necessary.
Loan period for books
Six weeks
Renewals
If there are no holds on the book, we will renew once for an additional
six weeks.
Charge for loan of books or copies of articles
Our current fee is $15.00 per item borrowed by another U.S. Library. Canadian
libraries is $20.00 U.S.
Charge for lost books
$100.00 U.S., plus applicable service fees.
ILL Schedule
ILL operates year round. We are generally closed around Christmas, New
Years and the week between. Our office is staffed Monday through Friday,
8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (CST).
Circulating items
We will loan through ILL most items in the circulating collections of
our St. Paul and Minneapolis libraries. Theses are loaned through ILL.
They can be identified on CLICnet using
an author or title search.
Non-circulating items
We do not loan the following through ILL: reference, microfilm, microfiche,
newspapers, periodicals, audio-visual media, software and computer disks,
and materials from Archives or Special Collections.
