Why are ILL requests different for MSW?

Because the Graduate Program - Master of Social Work (MSW) is a joint program between the College of St. Catherine and the University of St. Thomas, your ILL requests are handled a bit differently than those for other programs at St. Kates. You may choose to have your requests filled at either campus.

What is the difference of having ILL filled by CSC or UST?

If your requests are filled by UST, you must pick them up in the UST library, and there may be a charge of $1.00 to you.

If your requests are filled by St. Kates, you have the option of picking them up at the St. Kates library or having them mailed to your home. There is no charge to you for ILL service.

How to designate which campus will fill your requests:

There are two ways you can do this:

1. If you use the online form provided by CLICnet, your requests will automatically be sent to UST. To have them sent to St. Kates, write CSC or St. Kates in the pick-up location and we will hold them at CSC's circulation desk for you.

2. Your request(s) will be sent directly to the St. Kates ILL Department by using the forms provided below. Indicate your pickup or delivery preference in the Preferred Delivery field.

Students who live outside the Metro area

GSW students who live outside the Metro area* have an additional option of requesting copies of articles from journals owned by St. Kates. This service is provided for distance students only.
(* Counties considered within the Metro area include Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington.)
