Now accepting applications for part-time, temporary faculty librarianThe College of St. Catherine Libraries invite applicants for a temporary part-time, sabbatical replacement adjunct faculty librarian position (twenty hours per week) beginning January 15, 2009 and ending May 31, 2009. Responsibilities: This position teaches and assists library patrons in locating information and in conducting research. In addition to providing traditional reference assistance, the person in this position creates guides and instructional materials, both online and in print. This librarian prepares and presents library instruction sessions in consultation with other librarians. Weekend hours and some evenings required. At least 15 hours per week will be at the reference desk. Required Qualifications: Masters Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution; strong interpersonal skills, with both excellent oral and written communications abilities; flexibility in working with a diverse community; experience with electronic research tools; and the ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience teaching or with bibliographic instruction; Experience with Dreamweaver, Contribute, or other web development software.
