This is a group exhibition that presents six distinctive approaches to landscape painting through beauty, imagination and humor with a touch of dystopia. Each artist presents a unique frame of the world as they see it, ranging from macroscopic images to industrial spaces.

Adé Bethune: The Power of One Person Curated by Deborah Kloiber

This exhibition commemorates the centennial of artist, writer and activist Adé Bethune. From her early association with the Catholic Worker, Bethune went on to become a pioneering liturgical artist as well as a driving force for social and community change.

The Great Mother of Islam Hend al–Mansour and Leili Tajadod–Pritschet
November 1 – December 19, 2014

In this exhibition, Hend al–Mansour and Leili Tajadod–Pritschet, two Muslim women artists, bring to life a tribute and oblation to the secred feminine in Islam with their collaborative installation inspired by Islamic art.

Souvenir – A Sabbatical Exhibition Carol Lee Chase

Chase’s travel to Istanbul, Turkey in the fall of 2013 provided the inspiration and stimulus for a whole new body of work. This exhibition is the premier showing of these new works that explore her interest in the depiction of light, color and repetition.

Constructed Visions Two Views Victoria Christen and Monica Rudquist
February 2 – March 25, 2015

Constructed Visions brings together the work of two clay artists, Victoria Christen and Monica Rudquist. They both work from thrown and constructed forms and come from traditional pottery backgrounds but have each formed their own language for working with clay. This exhibit will feature their conversation through their unique Constructed Visions.

Earthly Garden, Wild Wood Stephanie Hunder
April 13 – May 24, 2015

Nature hold a place in our most basic understanding of the world and forms the foundation for the language of our thoughts. Stephanie Hunder uses printmaking and photography to make a record of actual objects collaged together with natural objects where linear branches physically carve and emboss the flat paper leaving a skeleton shadow of reality.

St. Catherine University Senior Juried Show

This annual spring event showcases the talent of graduating Studio Art majors at St. Catherine University. Their capstone course prepares them for the professional world. Before graduating each student establishes a website, secures business cards, developes a mailing list, builds a professional portfolio and installs her work for a public exhibition. Always a popular show!
