This exhibition of photographic works by American artists since 1970 reflects a period of increasingly lively attitudes about photography’s expressive and formal qualities. Independent curator and current St.Catherine University Master of Organizational Leadership candidate George Slade selected works from the Minnesota Museum of American Art’s permanent collection to demonstrate how “terrain” signals both classical notions of landscape and the new landscapes photographs create within their frames.
