I am an Asian American female clay artist. My artwork symbolizes
my struggles within the two contrasting cultures that I live
in. By incorporating Western techniques with Asian inspired
designs I create art that is a reflection of who I am. Art gives
me a means to bring to life my deepest thoughts concerning my
experiences as a mother, daughter, and
woman. My artwork is a visual diary of my life in three dimensional
form and design. Art is created to gain a better understanding
of my identity and to bring awareness of Asian American culture
to others.
