Drawing encompasses each aspect of my life. Creating art is
forever a goal as well as an accomplishment. It is also a place
of rest, a difficulty, a challenge and a wonderful part of who
I am and who I aspire to be. I try to portray a sense of character
and movement both in my self-portrait work and my drawings of
the anonymous human figure. I also make it a point to show my
manipulation of the medium and how I use it to emphasize the
subject matter. Above all else, drawing is an examination of
my mentality and a constant process.
