FALL SEMESTER
ACADEMIC AND ADVISING CONNECTIONS
Begin your connection to the College through the New Student Orientation program.
Meet with your TRW/first-year advisor throughout fall semester – discuss the results of the College Student Inventory and identify resources to get you on the right track for success.
Connect with your "The Reflective Woman" (TRW) course and the on-campus resources that support this key course, including residence life, campus ministry, career development, student center events, core convocations and community work and learning.
Build your academic skills at the O'Neill Center for Academic Development.
Explore ways to tie your liberal arts education together. Check out liberal arts goals, core minors and learning community opportunities. Meet with your advisor in November to select courses for next term.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Apply for student employment, internships and jobs by logging in to KatieClick and completing your profile.
Register in October for the Shadow Program and spend a day with a St. Kate's graduate to learn about a potential career.
Learn about future internship and employment opportunities at the Career Opportunities Fair in October.
SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
Express your spirituality at Sunday morning Mass or Sunday evening ecumenical service, in the new-student retreat or by meeting with a prayer partner.
Explore faith-in-action through volunteering or participating in a justice learning and outreach trip (January or March). Contact Campus Ministry Center.
COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
Attend the annual Activities Fair in September; join an interesting club or organization.
Establish relationships with faculty and staff outside the classroom. Stop in during office hours.
Connect to campus life. Get involved in clubs, performing arts, theatre, art gallery and music performances, recreational sports, intercollegiate athletic programs, student government (Senate and Residence Hall Association), service learning, campus events and programs. Utilize resources within the Student Center and Activities Office.
Consider student employment – it's an excellent way to begin to develop transferable skills. Consider reaching beyond the campus gates and work at a school or nonprofit organization through Community Work and Learning.

WINTER SEMESTER
ACADEMIC AND ADVISING CONNECTIONS
Attend the Activities and Majors Fair during February to explore possible majors and related co-curricular activities.
Enrich your liberal arts focus by exploring core minors and learning communities.
Challenge yourself academically by exploring opportunities in the Antonian Scholars Honors Program.
Work with the Office of Global Studies to plan a study-abroad experience – consider a year abroad, a semester, a J-term or a summer experience. Attend the annual Study Abroad Fair in February.
Develop financial management skills; attend the college-wide, Money Management speaker series or register for a financial management course.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Enroll in INDI 2000 course, "Career Development for Women" – find your academic and career direction.
Attend the variety of Career Fairs offered through Career Development.
SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
Continue with Mass or other worship services; join Lenten prayer evenings or retreats. Meet with a spiritual mentor.
Sign up for a justice learning and outreach trip. Contact Campus Ministry Center.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Act on St Kate's commitment to justice through service-learning opportunities such as Volunteers in Action, justice learning and outreach trips coordinated by Campus Ministry and off-campus student employment such as America Reads coordinated by the Office of Community Work and Learning.
