How to Apply

Choose the situation from the list below that best fits you to learn how to apply to the Weekend Program.

First-time Applicants

Follow the steps below to apply to the Weekend Program at St. Catherine University.

Admission requirements

To be considered for admission, you must have graduated from an accredited high school or have earned a General Education Development (GED) diploma. If your previous academic record indicates past difficulty or if you have never taken a college course, you may be asked to provide additional information or to participate in a personal interview.

When to apply

To allow enough time to process your application, we recommend that you submit all application materials at least four weeks prior to the start of the term.

It is to your advantage to apply early. By getting admitted early you can receive your official transcript evaluation and financial aid award that much sooner. You would also be able to register at the first opportunity.

Application process

New, first-time applicants looking to complete a baccalaurate degree should complete the steps outlined below.

If you are looking to complete a second major, audit courses, take courses without completing a degree, or resume previous baccalaureate course work at St. Catherine University, please choose the appropriate link at the top of this page.

1. Complete the application form and submit application fee

The first step in the admission process is to download and complete the application form or request that we mail a paper copy to you.

When you’ve finished your application, send a non-refundable application fee of $25 (check or money order payable to St. Catherine University) to the address below:

St. Catherine University
Office of Weekend Admission
2004 Randolph Avenue, Mail 4061

2. Have official transcripts sent

Request that official transcripts be sent to the Office of Weekend Admission (see address above) using transcript request forms found with the application. Official transcripts are required for all institutions you have attended, regardless of completion of course work.

Arrange for your transcripts to be sent from all schools, universities, technical schools, training programs, armed forces, etc., that you have attended or currently attend, directly to the address listed in step 3.

If you have completed any portion of your education outside of the United States, translation and/or evaluation of transcripts may be required. Please allow extra time for this process (up to nine months in some cases).

Next steps

Admission to the University is based on your previous academic records, your ability to be successful at the college level and your personal motivation to attend college. We will notify you of the admission decision after we’ve reviewed your completed application.
