Applying for Admission

All students applying to St. Kate's now have two options: You can fill out an online or paper application, it's your choice. An admission decision will be made approximately two weeks after your file is complete.

The admission process for degree-
seeking students

St. Kate's accepts students on a "rolling" basis. In other words, we'll notify you of acceptance soon after receiving your complete application for admission, which includes:

  • Your completed application form (See Apply Online)

  • A $20 nonrefundable application fee or alumnae fee-waiver card

  • Official transcripts from your high school (or GED scores) and all post-secondary institutions. If previous course work included a competency-based program, narrative transcripts also must be forwarded.

Your application is complete when all paperwork is on file in the admission office. We will notify you if we haven’t received official transcripts within three weeks or if we need additional information. Once the admission office has received and reviewed your application and transcripts, you will be notified regarding the status of your application. Within three weeks of acceptance, you will receive a list of courses and corresponding credits transferred to the College of St. Catherine.

Students seeking second majors or second degrees. Students who hold a bachelor’s degree may attend the College of St. Catherine to obtain a second degree or second major. To enroll, you must submit an application, application fee and official transcripts from each institution previously attended.

Nondegree-seeking students. If you are interested in applying as a nondegree-seeking student, you must submit an application for admission, application fee and an unofficial transcript from the last institution attended. Students who plan, eventually, to become degree-seeking students, may wish to submit official transcripts. Nondegree-seeking students, at the time they wish to become degree-seeking students, must submit an application for degree-seeking students (no application fee is required), official high school transcripts and official post-secondary transcripts to be considered for admission to the bachelor’s degree program. Admission as a nondegree-seeking student does not guarantee admission as a degree-seeking student.

Students seeking certificates. Students applying for a certificate program must submit an application for certificate students, application fee and unofficial transcripts from high school and each post-secondary institution attended. Piano pedagogy students also must audition with an adviser in the music department. Students who plan, eventually, to become degree-seeking students, may wish to submit official transcripts. Certificate students, at the time they wish to become degree-seeking students, must submit an application for degree-seeking students (no application fee is required), official high school transcripts and official post-secondary transcripts to be considered for admission to the bachelor degree program. Admission as a certificate student does not guarantee admission as a degree-seeking student.

Male students. Men who have completed a bachelor’s degree may be admitted to the College of St. Catherine to earn a second major or certificate. Men without degrees may take courses at the college for personal or career enrichment but may not earn an undergraduate degree.

Overlooking Derham Hall and Our Lady of Victory Chapel in the fall can be wondrous.
