Theology
The theology major at St. Kate’s offers opportunities to reflect on historical and theological aspects of religious experiences, practice and traditions, particularly, but not exclusively, within the Judeo-Christian framework. Engendering sound thinkers is our immediate purpose in the classroom, the ultimate purpose of theology is soul making.
All theology comes out of the living faith of individuals and communities.
You will investigate the biblical, historical, liturgical and doctrinal traditions of Christianity and become acquainted with the moral issues, spiritual aspirations and intellectual journeys of contemporary believers.
Liberal Arts and Science Core Theology Requirement
All candidates for the B.A. and B.S. degrees are required to take at least one course in theology to fulfill the liberal arts requirements. The wide array of courses offered at St. Kate’s fulfills this requirement.
