Sonography

With a two- to three-year commitment, St. Kate’s associate sonography program will lead you into a fascinating profession that challenges your analytical ability and your in-depth knowledge of the body.

Sonographers — also called diagnostic medical sonographers — use sophisticated equipment that sends sound waves through the body to create images for assessing medical conditions.

You may be familiar with the use of ultrasound to view the fetus in the womb, but as a sonographer, you also will create images of the abdomen, breast, heart, vascular system and other parts of the human anatomy to help diagnose a wide range of conditions.
