Application Instructions for Fall 2012

- The St. Catherine University Respiratory Care (RC) major course sequence begins each fall. Applications to the RC major are accepted beginning each fall semester for the following fall. The application period for beginning the RC major for the fall of 2012 is open from Sept. 15, 2011 to June 1, 2012.
- Fully qualified St. Catherine University day students are given first priority for full acceptance to the RC major -- fully qualified transfer and second majors are fully accepted in the RC major on the basis of earliest application and space availability of space (20 students max). If the program becomes full, a wait-list of five students will be maintained.
- An applicant to the RC major who has not yet completed the RC program prerequisite requirements, but have a reasonable plan to do so by fall of 2012, can be granted contingent acceptance into the major.
- If a student on contingent acceptance does not fulfill the RC program prerequisite requirements by August 15, 2012 -- their seat will be forfeited to a wait-listed RESP applicant.
- Fill out and submit the Online RC major application.
- Arrange a meeting with the RC program chair: John Boatright, Ph.D., RRT (651.690.7819).
- Schedule an RC clinical tour: Paul LaMere, M.S., RRT (651.690.7820).
- Submit the "Change of major/advisor" form.
- Obtain full undergraduate admission to St. Kate's baccalaureate day college. (Note: This may be done concurrent with submitting this application to the RC major.)
- Fill out and submit the Online RC major application.
- Arrange a meeting with the RC program chair: John Boatright, Ph.D., RRT (651.690.7819).
- Schedule an RC clinical tour: Paul LaMere, M.S., RRT (651.690.7820).
- Submit the "Change of major/advisor" form.
- Obtain appropriate ACTC or Augsburg undergraduate admissions status. (Note: This may be done concurrent with submitting this application to the RESP major.)
- Provide 2 letters of reference using this form:
- Fill out and submit the online >RC major application.
- Arrange a meeting with the RC program chair: John Boatright, Ph.D., RRT (651.690.7819).
- Arrange a meeting with the assigned ACTC/Home institution's advisor.
- Schedule an RC clinical tour: Paul LaMere, M.S., RRT (651.690.7820).
- Submit the "Change of major/advisor" form.
- Obtain admission to St. Catherine University baccalaureate day college as a "Second Major Certificate" student. (Note: This may be done concurrent with submitting this application to the RC major.)
- Fill out and submit the Online RC major application.
- Arrange a meeting with the RC program chair: John Boatright, Ph.D., RRT (651.690.7819).
- Schedule an RC clinical tour: Paul LaMere, M.S., RRT (651.690.7820).
- Submit the "Change of major/advisor" form.
