Philosophy reflects upon matters of history, medicine and healthcare, psychology, literature, art, theology, law, business, politics and science.
Two concentrations
When you study philosophy at St. Kate’s, you will have the option to choose if your major will focus on applied ethics or the history and ideas of philsophy.
As a philosophy major, you will learn:
- How to think and to understand the history of philosophical thought
- To evaluate an argument
- To carry out an ethical analysis
- To distinguish a well-reasoned argument from a fallacious one
- To defend and articulate your own perspective
- To write with clarity and precision
