St. Kate’s two-year OTA program will educate you to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and enter a career where you’ll work closely with individuals to find creative solutions that contribute to their physical, psychological and spiritual well-being.

Assist with the daily business of living

Under the direction of and in collaboration with occupational therapists, COTAs help people to accomplish what they need to do and love to do – their human occupations and avocations — despite despite physical, mental or emotional limitations.

You might work with someone who has had a stroke to experience an activity like fishing or gardening, teach a patient with a spinal cord injury new ways to make meals, show an elderly person how to use assistive devices so she can live and function independently or work with a child to improve sense of balance.

With a career in occupational therapy, you have unlimited potential to touch people’s lives.
