Concentrations and Curriculum
The MAOL program offers in-depth application of skills in a concentration of your choice, making the degree highly customizable on an individual basis. Available concentrations include:
- Accountancy Leadership
- Dispute Resolution
- Ethics and Leadership
- Healthcare Leadership
- Information Services and Technology
- Spirituality and Leadership
- Strategic Management
General program format
As part of mastering core leadership skills, you take required courses and classes in one or more concentration areas. You augment that with elective courses.
Courses are designed for working adults who have a minimum of two years professional experience. Typically, eight to 10 hours of work per week is required outside of class.
Capstone experiences
Coursework is topped off with a Leadership Thesis or Leadership Action Project. For the thesis (6 total credits), you conduct original research and an extensive review of literature related to your topic. If you opt for an action project (3 total credits), you work on solving a current leadership issue, problem or need.
