Master of Arts in Education - Initial Licensure
Embark on a new career in teaching through the Master of Arts in Education program at St. Catherine University.
The MAED - Initial Licensure program is a pathway to a career in which you can change lives through learning. If you've completed a bachelor's degree, you can meet requirements for a teaching license, earn a master's degree, and gain skills to transform the world around you -- one learner at a time.
Our three Initial Licensure program options are offered on the St. Paul campus. Flexible every-other-weekend classes, meeting September through June, make it possible for you to fit graduate education into your busy life.
Time to completion varies depending on which teaching license you are pursuing and your prior college experience. St. Kate's advisors will work with you to evaluate your transcripts and develop a program of study to meet your professional goals.
Program options
There are a number of options for obtaining your master's and teaching license. In the secondary and K-12 options, you will choose an additional area, called an endorsement, in which to specialize.
