Elementary - Weekend Option

The elementary option, designed for those seeking to become licensed elementary (K–6) teachers, is also available through the Weekend/Evening/Online Program at St. Catherine.

Educational theory is integrated with classroom practice as well as extensive field experiences and a full-term student-teaching experience.

Academic plan

Students in the Weekend/Evening/Online Program typically begin education courses in their junior year, but each student’s situation will look different, based on the amount of credits transferred to St. Kate’s.

Below is a sample course plan for the elementary education major, including the required STEM certificate courses. Please note the plan does not include the liberal arts and sciences core requirements (for all majors).
