The economics major will give you a solid understanding of the interplay of commerce and the global economy, and the liberal arts core will ensure that your education is well-rounded.

Writing requirements

Economics majors satisfy the Writing Requirement for Majors by completing at least one writing intensive course in economics. You complete the liberal arts core Writing Requirement with three other writing-intensive courses (CORE 1000: The Reflective Woman, CORE 3990: Global Search for Justice and any other writing-intensive course in this or another department).
