Clinical Experience
Hands-on clinical experience is an essential component of the DPT curriculum.
As a first-year student, you will be placed at various clinical sites with St. Kate’s clinical faculty in groups of three nearly every week. As you progress through the program, you'll complete five, full-time clinical education courses totaling 40 weeks.
Your clinical experiences will mirror your course work, so you’ll be able to discuss your observations and questions about patient treatment not only with clinical faculty but also with faculty and fellow students in the classroom.
In keeping with the St. Kate’s mission, our goal is for all students to graduate as ethical practitioners capable of leading and influence the PT profession.
In compliance with Minnesota state law, all students are required to meet St. Catherine's Clinical Education Requirements.
