Core Curriculum
Common classes, strong community
The core curriculum at St. Catherine University provides a common experience for all students. Both courses in the core curriculum – The Reflective Woman (TRW), taken by all first-year students, and Global Search for Justice (GSJ), a senior seminar – connect students to the mission and vision of the University. They build community through active, student-centered learning and call upon students to examine their education with great intention, both as they embark upon it and as it comes to a close.
- The Reflective Woman (TRW) explores issues in the world from a liberal arts perspective and focuses on developing communication, cultural analysis, critical thinking and information literacy skills.
- The Global Search for Justice (GSJ) examines conditions of justice experienced by people outside of the North American majority culture and how, as global citizens, we must work to improve such conditions.
