Why St. Kate’s
The communication major at St. Kate’s is a combined effort of the Communication Studies and English departments. The major blends literature and language with writing and speech, making you a more articulate and effective communicator.

The communication major has two concentrations: written or oral. The written concentration combines communication studies courses with courses taught by the English Department faculty that focus on writing, language, linguistics and literature. The oral concentration focuses more on spoken communication, rhetoric, persuasion and the cultural aspects of communication.
To learn more about each concentration, visit the Academic Plan page.
