CLINICALS
There are about 900 hours of clinical experience incorporated into the program curriculum. You will be linked up with a clinical mentor, who will increase your confidence and get you "ready to work" as a therapist. Clinical experiences for each student include extended time in adult, pediatric and neonatal critical care as well as specialty experiences in pulmonary function studies, home care, subacute and pulmonary rehabilitation.

AARC
The American Association for Respiratory Care - represents the social and political interests of more than 35,000 respiratory care professionals nationwide. They publish the premier journal of respiratory care science -- Respiratory Care and sponsor the yearly international RC conference.

MSRC
The Minnesota Society for Respiratory Care. Local social-political organization.


MnRCP
The Minnesota Board of Medical Practice regulates the use of the RCP title in Minnesota.

NBRC
The National Board for Respiratory Care is the organization responsible for credentialing of respiratory care pratitioners and other related cardiopulmonary professions in the USA.

Lambda Beta Society
The national honor society for the respiratory care profession, whose mission is to promote achievement of high scholarly standards through the encouragement of membership and graduation with honors.

CoARC
The Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care, accredits educational programs. They base their approval on whether program graduates are able to demonstrate capability as measured by the NBRC testing system, and by the communities around the educational program. There is a list of accredited programs in the USA available HERE.

The Canadian Society for Respiratory Care
The social-policitical organization for our good neighbor RCs in Canada.
