Respiratory Care Baccalaureate Degree Major
Application Form for Fall 2009

- The CSC RESP major course sequence begins each fall. Applications to the CSC RESP major are accepted beginning each fall semester for the following fall. The application period for beginning the RESP major for the fall of 2009 is now open.

-Fully qualified CSC day students are given first priority for full acceptance to the RESP major -- fully qualified transfer and second majors are fully accepted in the RESP major on the basis of earliest application and availability of space (20 students max). If the program becomes full, a wait-list of 5 students will be maintained.

-An applicant to the major who has not yet completed the program prerequisite requirements, but has a reasonable plan to do so by the the fall in which they are applying to enter, can be granted contingent acceptance into the major.

-If a student on contingent acceptance does not fulfill the program prerequisite requirements by August 1st -- their seat will be forfeited to a wait-listed RESP applicant.

St. Kate's undergraduate students (baccalaureate day college, women only) wishing to declare the RESP major for fall 2009 should:
1. Fill out and submit the RESP major application webform below.
2.
Arrange a meeting with the RESP program chair (651.690.7819).
3.
Schedule an RC clinical tour (651.690.7820).

Transfer students, women not presently admitted to St. Kate's, transferring from other colleges or community colleges
wishing to enter the RESP major for fall 2009 should:
1. Obtain full undergraduate admission to St. Kate's baccalaureate day college.
(Note: This may be done concurrent with submitting this application to the RESP major.)
2. Fill out and submit the RESP major application webform below.
3. Arrange a meeting with the program chair (651.690.7819).
4. Schedule an RC clinical tour (651.690.7820).

ACTC or Augsburg undergraduate students (men and women) wishing to enter the RESP major in fall 2009 should:
1. Obtain appropriate ACTC or Augsburg undergraduate admissions status.
(Note: This may be done concurrent with submitting this application to the RESP major.)

3. Fill out and submit the RESP major application webform below.
4. Arrange a meeting with the RESP program chair. (651.690.7819)
5. Arrange a meeting with the assigned mother college's advisor.
6. Schedule an RC clinical tour (651.690.7820).
7. Complete "Petition to declare an ACTC major" form (available from the registrar at your mother college).

Persons who have previously completed a baccalaureate degree (men and women) wishing to enter the RESP major in fall 2009 should:
1. Obtain admission to St. Kate's baccalaureate day college as a "Second Major Certificate" student.
(Note: This may be done concurrent with submitting this application to the RESP major.)
2. Fill out and submit the RESP major application webform below.
3. Arrange a meeting with the program chair (651.690.7819).
4. Schedule an RC clinical tour (651.690.7820).

Discuss any personal attributes that you feel will help you complete the respiratory care curriculum at the College of St. Catherine and contribute to the profession and community. Also, discuss your plans to complete any outstanding prerequisite requirements.+
